The human role

In a large project, a person does more than issue prompts. People define the product outcome, choose priorities, make tradeoffs, and decide what evidence is sufficient for delivery.

Make responsibilities and decision points explicit. Review plans and results against the intended outcome, resolve ambiguity, and adjust the process when evidence reveals a problem. Delegating execution does not delegate accountability.
